Log House at Alberta Home Shows 2008
Sitka
Log Homes displayed a log house in the Calgary and Edmonton Log
and Cottage Shows in April 2008.
Here
are some quick facts about the log house:
- Main
floor is 832 sq.ft Loft is 423 sq.ft for a total of 1,255 sq.ft
- It
can be placed on a full basement for a total of 2,087 sq.ft
- We've
estimated costs for adding the foundation and sub-floor to be
approx. $20,000 complete with drain rock, drain tile, forms and
cement.
- Interior
walls can be changed to suit your needs
- The
log house is built from Lodgepole Pine that
has been harvested from dead standing mountain pine beetle forests
in BC. NO LIVE TREES WERE HARVESTED FOR THIS HOUSE
- The
log house was built at Sitka Log Homes construction yard in 100
Mile House, BC - Officially "The Handcrafted Log Home Capital
of North America"
- Re-assembly
of a log house this size should take approx. two days with a crew
of four or five
- Roof
material is not included - the choice of options is yours
- Windows
are Pine
